This Japanese haori jacket is a garment reserved exclusively for men since its appearance in the Sengoku era. Later, in the Meiji era, geishas managed to make it accessible to all.
This haori jacket represents the tiger, one of the four sacred animals of the Taoists. The tiger is an animal that has been present throughout the history of Japanese culture. Its strength and courage are well known.
